Silk Road Journey: Uzbekistan & Tajikistan is an 8-day cultural adventure through the heart of Central Asia, combining the legendary cities of the ancient Silk Road with the breathtaking landscapes of Tajikistan. Discover the UNESCO treasures of Khiva, Bukhara, and Samarkand, explore traditional architecture and vibrant bazaars, and experience the stunning natural beauty of the Fann Mountains, the Seven Lakes, and Iskanderkul Lake. This journey offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and nature, providing an authentic insight into the rich heritage of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

Tour Plan

- Arrival at Urgench Airport; self-transfer to Khiva (approx. 35 km / 40 min).
- Check-in at 14:00; time at leisure in the open-air museum city
- 18:30 meeting with the guide and evening programme: welcome dinner in a traditional restaurant in the old city and folklore show with national music and dances (Khorezm traditions).
- Overnight: Khiva.

- Breakfast at the hotel. 09:00 meeting with the guide; full-day guided exploration of Khiva, focusing on the UNESCO-listed Ichan-Kala
- Visits: Kunya Ark Fortress, Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasah, Kalta Minor Minaret, Juma Mosque (218 carved wooden columns), Tash-Hauli Palace.
- Optional lunch experience (20 USD p.p.): traditional Khorezm cooking class with lunch included.
- Overnight: Khiva.

- Morning at leisure for independent exploration, photography, artisan workshops and cafés in the old city.
- 15:15–21:40 transfer to Bukhara by train.
- Arrival in the evening and transfer to the hotel. Overnight: Bukhara

- Breakfast at the hotel. Full-day sightseeing in Bukhara with a local professional guide.
- Visits: Lyabi-Hauz Ensemble, Trading Domes (covered bazaars), Poi Kalon Complex (12th-century minaret and mosque), Ark Fortress.
- 17:00 transfer to Samarkand by minivan (approx. 270 km / 4–4.5 h). Overnight: Samarkand.

- Breakfast at the hotel. Full-day guided tour of Samarkand, capital of the Timurid Empire.
- Visits: Gur-Emir Mausoleum (tomb of Amir Timur), Registan Square (three monumental madrasahs), Bibi-Khanum Mosque, Siab Bazaar, Shahi Zinda.
- Overnight: Samarkand

- Morning departure toward the Uzbekistan–Tajikistan border; after formalities, continue to the Seven Lakes (HaftKul) region in the Fann Mountains.
- Continue to Penjikent, one of the oldest cities in Tajikistan, known for its Sogdian heritage.
- Overnight: Penjikent.

- Breakfast at the hotel. Scenic mountain roads to Iskanderkul Lake (linked to legends of Alexander the Great).
- Activities: walk along the lakeshore; trekking to the “Niagara” Waterfall.
- In the late afternoon, continue to Dushanbe. Overnight: Dushanbe.

- Breakfast at the hotel. 08:00 transfer to the airport and flight to Bishkek (10:20–13:00).
- End of the programme.
