Tour Overview

The Historical Tour “1001 Nights” is a 10-day cultural journey through Uzbekistan’s most atmospheric Silk Road cities and desert landscapes. The program starts in Tashkent with a relaxed arrival day and a guided city tour, continues by flight to Urgench and onward to the ancient museum-city of Khiva, includes a memorable overnight stay in a traditional yurt camp near Ayaz Kala and Toprak Kala, then follows the historic route to Bukhara and Samarkand before returning to Tashkent for departure.

The tour combines classic monuments, old bazaars, Islamic architecture, desert scenery, local hospitality, and comfortable 3-star accommodation.

Tour Plan

Arrival at Tashkent Airport and transfer to the hotel. Check in and rest after the long journey. In the late afternoon, guests may take an optional evening excursion. Overnight in Tashkent.

Breakfast at the hotel, then meet the local guide for a Tashkent city tour. Visit Khast-Imam Square, see historic treasures including the 7th-century Osman Quran, explore the Kukeldash Complex, walk through Chorsu Bazaar, admire Alisher Navoi and Cosmonaut metro stations, and visit the Museum of Applied Arts. Overnight in Tashkent.

Early transfer to the airport for the morning flight to Urgench. On arrival, the driver meets the group and transfers to Khiva. After breakfast and luggage drop-off, start the Khiva excursion with a local guide. Visit Ichan-Kala, Kunya-Ark Fortress, Kalta Minor Minaret, Juma Mosque, Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum, and Islam Khodja Minaret. Overnight in Khiva.

After breakfast, depart from Khiva to Toprak Kala and Ayaz Kala. Explore the ancient fortresses of Khorezm and continue to the yurt camp. Enjoy the desert atmosphere, relaxation under the starry sky, and an optional camel ride across the golden sands. Overnight in a traditional yurt camp.

After breakfast, meet the driver and transfer to Bukhara through the Kyzylkum Desert. Enjoy stops for desert views and fresh air along the way. On arrival in Bukhara, check in at the hotel and relax after the long journey. Optional evening excursion. Overnight in Bukhara.

After breakfast, take a guided tour through the old heart of Bukhara. Visit the Samanid Mausoleum, Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum, Bolo-Hauz Mosque, Ark Fortress, Poi-Kalyan Complex, Ulugh Beg Madrasah, and Abdulazizkhan Madrasah. The tour ends in the afternoon, followed by return to the hotel. Overnight in Bukhara.

After breakfast, transfer from Bukhara to Samarkand. The road journey takes approximately four hours. On arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy free time or an optional evening excursion. Overnight in Samarkand.

After breakfast, start a guided Samarkand city tour. Visit Registan Square, Gur-e Amir Mausoleum, Bibi-Khanym Mosque, Siab Bazaar, Shahi-Zinda, Hodja Daniyar Mausoleum, and the Afrosiab Museum. The tour ends in the afternoon, followed by return to the hotel. Overnight in Samarkand.

Breakfast and free time in Samarkand. After lunch, meet the driver and transfer to Tashkent. Arrival in Tashkent after approximately 3–4 hours and hotel check-in. Optional evening excursion. Overnight in Tashkent.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and meet the driver for transfer to Tashkent Airport. Departure flight and end of the Uzbekistan tour.
