They keep old and important treasures, like the Osman Quran. This ancient book, from the 7th century, is the only one left. We will see more city jewels, too. We visit another mosque, the Kukeldash complex in old Tashkent, and the famous Chorsu Bazaar. We walk around its stalls. Some are well-known, thanks to YouTubers and bloggers discussing Uzbek street food. We will dive into the local vibe.
Then, we take the metro. We look at the beautiful Alisher Navoi and Cosmonaut stations. Next, we visit the Museum of Applied Arts to see its unique displays. Our Tashkent trip ends, and we go to the airport. We fly to Urgench. There, the driver meets us and takes us to Khiva. We check into our hotel.   We spend a peaceful night in Khiva.

The Juma Mosque will welcome us next. It has a unique design that takes us back in time. We will then visit the Pahlavan Mahmud Mausoleum. It will tell us about a famous hero. From the top of the Islam Khodja Minaret, we will see a fantastic view of Khiva. It will make us feel like we are in a magical place.

First, you will see the Samanid Mausoleum. It’s the oldest building in Central Asia and is known for its beauty and balance. Next, you will visit the Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum. It’s famous for its holy spring and the stories about it. The Bolo-Hauz Mosque is next, famous for its beautiful woodwork.

Then, you will see the Ark Fortress. It was a strong place and home for Bukhara’s leaders. The Poi-Kalyan Complex is next. It is beautiful and has a big mosque, a minaret, and schools. The Ulugh Beg and Abdulazizkhan schools are also must-sees for their stunning art.

Walking under Bukhara’s trading domes will take you back to when these places were busy with trade on the Great Silk Road. The Lyabi-Hauz Plaza, with a big pond surrounded by schools and a khanqah, is peaceful and beautiful. You will also see the Bukhara Synagogue, showing how different cultures and religions have lived together in the city for many years.

Day 6 Bukhara – Shakhrisabz – Samarkand, breakfast

After breakfast, we’ll leave the hotel, meet our driver, and go to Samarkand. Samarkand is a special place like Khiva and Bukhara on the UNESCO World Heritage list. On the way, we will stop in Shahrisabz, another UNESCO city. We’ll see the Ak-Saray Palace, an old market, a mosque with a blue dome, and a giant tomb.

After looking around, we’ll keep going to Samarkand. Samarkand was essential long ago because it was the capital of the Timurid Empire. We’ll get to Samarkand late at night and check into the hotel.

Day 7 Samarkand excursion, breakfast

We start our day with a tasty breakfast. This kicks off our exciting trip to the magic city of Samarkand with a guide. This trip is more than a tour. It’s a deep look into a city full of stories and beauty.

First, we go to the famous Registan Square. Here, three big schools stand. They are not just buildings. They are stories in stone, sharing old tales with us.
Next is the Gur-e Amir Mausoleum, where Tamerlane rests. It’s a place where history and beauty meet. We will also see the family crypt, where Tamerlane’s family lies.
Then, we move to the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, a big sign of love and faith, and the Siab Bazaar. This market is a total of colours and smells.

We also see the Shahi-Zinda, its beautiful tombs, and the Hodja Daniyar Mausoleum. It’s full of legends and history. The Afrosiab Museum will surprise us with its old art. The Ulugh Beg Observatory will let us reach for the stars with its big tool.
